Monroe Family Thanksgiving-Christmas

The Monroe family gathered for the annual Thanksgiving Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was such a sweet time of visiting and eating and more visiting and eating and of course the watching of football. Aunt Lynda and Uncle Kenneth were there, and Greg who brings joy with him wherever he goes. Adam came all the way from Memphis, and Uncle Linville and his son Ronnie were there from Houston. Uncle Peavey and Aunt Rachel were there, with their annual gift of strawberry jelly, much to everyone's delight! And of course, our crew, and Jana's along with Chuck's Uncle Jim and his friend, Peter, who were here for a hunting trip and to visit family. Two people we love so much were missing this year, my precious sweet Daddy and our Aunt Dusty. We all talked about the difference a year can make. Charlie won a door prize--we chose one of Uncle Kenneth's handmade clocks. We all got a good laugh because Aunt Lynda and I both ordered Italian cream cakes for dessert. Great minds think alike. And Lynda, the queen of board games, introduced us all to a new one, Bananagram. Such a good time and already looking forward to next year.
